Well, no sooner have we started the season and we already have a dispute regarding our favourite subject.
The events occurred during the Gallon game on the 19th March featuring the Burton Lodgers v Burton Arms.
The dispute was first raised after the game had been completed, and followed up by a written complaint from the Burton Arms player.
A referee was not appointed for this game.
After discussion of the event and circumstances at the meeting, no action was taken. The following guidance was delivered.
- All games must have an appointed referee including Gallon games.
- Any ruling must be made by the referee at the time of the alleged act.
- Any dispute must be resolved before the match continues.
- If a resolution cannot be reached then the game must be abandoned and referred to the League.
